2. Before Production Begins

At this point, check that the returned drawing matches your machine: diameter, overall length, flange dimensions and bolt pattern, drive-end detail, and any mixing section. 3. During Production
Long lead times make mid-production visibility worth having, particularly on a first order. Two low-cost options:

Inspection report
Records the actual measured dimensions of your parts — not the design values copied from the drawing. This distinction is the whole point. A report that simply restates the drawing tells you nothing; a report with measured figures tells you what you are receiving and gives you a baseline to measure wear against later.
